Corporate functions
My experience with Rivian was invaluable to my early career, one of the best choices I’ve made. Working with a company who prioritizes their interns and with a team who integrated interns equally as anyone else added layers of confidence to the entire intern cohort.
Trisha
Engineering Intern, Body Exteriors
The University Relations team has built an amazing intern program, from their Intern Leadership Committee to the personal and professional opportunities given to us - this program gave us a solid foundation to build friendships and professional connections that will last us a lifetime.
Ethan
Engineering Intern - GA Process, Manufacturing
I loved everything about the fast-paced work environment at Rivian. As an intern, I felt that I was given a great deal of responsibility and had the ability to make a difference in the company.
Julian
Software Engineering Intern - Energy Management
I really felt like I was treated as a full-time employee and not just an "intern", and I loved being able to be a subject matter expert on some of my projects. This made me feel like my work was valued and impactful, something that I haven't always gotten in other internships. The University Relations team also hosted some awesome professional development and social opportunities and I loved getting to participate in all the program offerings!

Business and Administrative Intern - Performance Management and Insights
Career Growth
Rivian supports skills training and growth for people who already work at Rivian as well as new candidates. Rotational programs for workforce-ready roles allow individuals to gain hands-on experience at a Rivian site while working towards a degree or certification.
The Rivian Technical Trades Program provides an opportunity for individuals to grow their careers in the skilled trades. In partnership with local trades colleges, technicians learn the latest electric vehicle technologies inside the classroom and put those theories into practice with hands-on training in school as well as at a local Service Center.
Upon completion of the program, a Rivian technical certification is awarded to those students who successfully complete the didactic and hands-on curriculum, learning what it takes to service our electric adventure vehicles. Graduates of the Rivian Technical Trades Program are then eligible for Full Time Service Technician roles in one of our Rivian Service Centers throughout the country.
Rivian's Co-Op Programs offer two exciting paths
for passionate engineering students.
If you thrive in building physical systems, join the 7-
month Emerging Technology Co-Op and
revolutionize EV manufacturing. If software is your
domain, the 8-month Vancouver Software Co-Op
lets you code the future of mobility.
Both programs provide in-depth projects, team
collaboration, and the chance to make a true
difference in the EV landscape.
